It can be a lot of pressure to be in front of the camera, which is why I like to encourage couples to pick at least one low-key or fun location for their engagement session. Sure, it takes a little more thought and intentional planning, but I promise it’s worth it.
Cocktail bars, ice cream parlors, or coffee shops make for the best locations because:
1. Sitting down for a moment with “props” such as an ice cold Coca-Cola, creates a more relaxed atmosphere where you can just laugh with your fiancé and be your awesome selves.
2. A location centered around food can distract your mind from the fact that I’m even there (wow, food is a powerful force)!
It was a sweltering day for Sydney and Kyle’s engagement session, but we cooled off with Coca-Cola’s and iced coffee at Stay Golden, a vibrant East Nashville coffee shop.
