A Coffee & Coconuts Engagement / Franklin, Tennessee Film Photographer / Britni & Zach’s Engagement Part I

I adored hanging out with these two coffee lovers at one of my favorite coffee shops in Franklin, Coffee & Coconuts. The tropical vibe, delicious sips, and easygoing staff make this place amazing.

I photographed Britni’s sister, Misti, and brother-in-law, Gene’s wedding last summer and I’m honored to be capturing another love story in their family. You may have noticed Britni and Zach both have tattoos in similar places on their arms. Well, I asked them to share a little about those and I’m so thankful for their vulnerability.

From Britni: “My Tattoo represents ’God Is Greater Than The Highs And The Lows’. It’s a popular symbol in the Diabetic community (high/lows meaning blood sugar levels). I decided to finally get it done on my 25 diaversary (diabetic anniversary). I wanted it somewhere I could see it daily to remind myself not to get discouraged over a bad number day (which we all have) but to continue to do my best in managing the daily struggle with the help of my faith in why I was chosen to carry this burden. I also wanted the placement to be something others could see to help encourage questions about an “invisible illness.”

From Zach: “Mine is called “King’s Witness.” God wanted to have a relationship with us, so he sent his only son Jesus to the world. The symbols represent: He came, He died, He arose, He ascended, He will come again. I decided to get it because I believe it’s what the true example of Christianity is. It was the ultimate sacrifice and it’s a constant reminder of how I should live my life being a child of God and a follower of Jesus.”

Stay tuned for Part II of their engagement session from Arrington Vineyards, coming in October right around their wedding.
