Just a short ferry ride from Seattle, there’s something magical about Whidbey Island—salt air drifting in from the water and the quiet hush of a place meant for gathering slowly and intentionally. Maybe it’s the ferries or the trees so tall and green your mouth hangs open, but there’s just something that seems like you’re in a magical fairytale world. Kelsey and Brandon chose this peaceful corner of Washington for their wedding day, inviting just 50 of their closest friends and family to celebrate alongside them, and it was truly serene.

2025 was a year I experienced fully–as my first full year as both a twin mom and business owner and wedding photographer, something Robert and I kept coming back to was this concept that everything just feels more these days.
From intimate celebrations to full wedding weekends, we were all over Colorado from Denver to Steamboat to Beaver Creek, and Nashville, Tennessee, and new places too, like Little Switzerland, North Carolina, Whidbey Island, Washington, and Bend, Oregon. I returned to places I love and discovered beautiful new adventures too. This post is a simple reflection on the year and the favorite moments our team witnessed.
